Lyn-Z is a talented Scottish musician whose association with the American band known as Mindless Self Indulgence catapulted her rise to stardom. Before joining the band, she played for a number of groups including Beg Yer Parton.
As a member of the Mindless Self Indulgence band, she helped them to produce their third album titled “You'll Rebel to Anything” in 2005. The album had a number of hit tracks such as "Straight to Video", "You'll Rebel to Anything", and "2 Hookers and an 8-Ball".

She’s known in private life as Lindsey Ann Ballato. After dating for some time, she got married to Gerard Way in 2007. She has a daughter called Bandit.
