Mary Badham shot to fame in the 1960s through her very first role as an actress. She landed the career-defining role of Jean Louise Finch in the 1962 American drama film, “To Kill a Mockingbird” at just 10 years old. She went on to star in the films “The Property Is Condemned” and “Let’s Kill Uncle”, which would mark her final film appearance before retiring. She came out of retirement almost four decades later, in 2005 to play Mrs. Nutbush in the film, “Our Very Own”.

Her older brother is the English-born American director, John Badham. She has been married to Richard W. Wilt since 1975. They have two children together.
