Early life
Bonner lived in Concord, New Hampshire, during his childhood. He graduated as the Valedictorian of Concord High School in his batch. He also led them to a place in 3 state championships.
Bonner enrolled at the University of Florida. He was an All-Southeastern Conference first-team player during his senior year.
Basketball Career Highlights
During the 2003 NBA draft, he was the 45th overall pick for the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls then sold him to Toronto Raptors. Again, the Raptors sold him to the Italian basketball team, “Sicilia Messina.” Bonner finished the season at Messina, averaging a 19.2 game point.
In 2004, Toronto Raptors signed him back to the NBA. As of 2021, Bonner was the only Raptors rookie to have played 82 games in an NBA season. He left the Raptors in 2006 for San Antonio Spurs, where he stayed until his retirement in 2017. Bonner won the 2006 and 2014 NBA championships with the Spurs. Throughout his NBA career, he played 792 games.
