Maurice LaMarche is a voice actor, comedian, and mimic from Canada who has created a name for himself for voicing many numbers of animated characters, including Chief Quimby in the “Inspector Gadget” cartoon series from 1983.
He began his career as a stand-up comedian, but family tragedy led him to leave the industry. Later he became well-known across the world when he played Egon Spengler in the animated series "The Real Ghostbusters,”. Following this success he went on to feature in numerous onscreen works including “Ed Wood," "Space Jam," "Balto II: Wolf Quest," "Tiny Toon Adventures," and” Batman: Arkham Knight".

His father’s name is Guy LaMarche. He grew up with a brother called Paul LaMarche. He married Robin Eiseman in 1991.
