Vucevic started his career in the NBA, playing with the Philadelphia 76ers but was traded to Orlando Magic in 2012 where he averaged 30 points per game. He had an impressive 2013\2014 season and was the second magic player to be named the Eastern Player of the Week. Satisfied by his performance, Magic offered him a $53 million contract extension for four years.
After a nine-year run with Magic, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls in 2021 and he was named into the NBA All-Star team for the second time.

Vucevic married Nikoleta Pavlović in 2016 and as of 2022, they have two sons together.
