From a trained civil engineer to an accomplished actor, Numan Acar is best known for his role as Mustafa in the 2016 epic war film “The Promise”.
Early Life
Acar was born in Turkey but moved to Germany in 1982. He got his education in Berlin and obtained a degree in civil engineering.
Career
After getting his degree, Acar decided to go into acting and made his debut in the 2003 film “Fast perfekt verlobt”. He was featured in various Turkish and German films until 2009 when he starred alongside American actor Gary Dourdan in the film “Fire!”
Acar solidified himself as a character actor and starred in the blockbusters “The Basement”, “Aladdin” and “Spider-Man: Far from Home”. He also appeared in some television series such as “Prison Break” and “Homeland”. Acar is also part of the cast of the 2023 films “The Way of the Wind” and “Desert Warrior”.
