Rebecca Frayn is an English filmographer, author and actress who first began such endeavors in 1979. Since then her multi-faceted career has resulted in her writing a number of screenplays, directing quite a few documentaries, publishing a couple of novels, etc.
She is the daughter of Michael and Gillian Frayn, with her father also being a professional writer.
She married Andy Harries, a film producer, in 1992. Together they gave birth to three children, Emmy Harries and twin brothers / social-media stars Jack and Finn Harries.
A film she wrote called “The Lady” (2011) won the International Human Rights Film Award in 2012.
Frayn is a graduate of the University of Bristol.
Documentaries she has produced throughout the years have appeared on the likes of BBC and ITV.
She has been active in environmental causes, such as co-founding the NGOs We CAN and Climate Action Now in 2008.
She is known to champion women’s rights/feminist causes.
