About Robert Graham
The late Robert Graham became a celebrated sculptor through his iconic works, usually made of bronze. Some of his sculptures have been positioned in public spaces and locations across the United States. Notable amongst them are the Joe Louis Memorial, Olympic Gateway at the Memorial Coliseum and Spirit of California. He also sculpted the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles’ Great Bronze Doors.
Family Life
The sculptor was the son of Adelina Graham and Roberto Pena. He was married twice in his lifetime. He was married to Joey, his first wife, and had a son with her before their divorce. In 1992, he and Angelica Huston, an actress, got married.
Achievements
He became a National Academy of Design academician in 1994. In December 2008, he was honored via an induction into the ‘California Hall of Fame’.
