About Robert Moses
He was an American asset who was one of the people who helped with the creation and development of Suburbs of Long Island and places he could reach.
Personal Life
Robert was the son of German Jewish parents and lived close to Yale University when he was young. His father was into real estate which made him interested in that field of work. His mother also dabbled in settlement movement. Moses enrolled in Yale College and later completed Columbia University with political science Ph.D.
Career
He started working on public work initiatives on a higher scale. Moses got commissioned to work on different projects and excelled at everything he did. For some time, he worked as the president of Long Island State Park Commission.
In 1927, he was made the Secretary of State of New York. He held that position for about a year. In 1960 also, he worked as the president of New York’s World Fair. He worked in this position for about six years. The various positions of power he held over time gave him the avenue to help in the development of the places around him. He worked on over thirty highways and over ten bridges.
Death
When he was in his early nineties, he suffered with issues regarding his heart but did not survive it and passed away.
