About Robert Seguso
In 1985, doubles specialist Robert Seguso became the world number one doubles ranking player. The former tennis champion won four Grand Slam titles and gold at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games held in Seoul, South Korea.
Career
Seguso started his tennis career playing for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He turned pro in 1983 and went on to win 29 career titles between 1984 and 1991. He is also known for playing doubles with his partner Ken Flach on the US Davis Cup team between 1985 and 1991.
After retiring from the sport, he opened his venture capital company in 2004, Seguso Holding.
The former tennis player also invested in real estate and developed a sports complex in Florida called the Seguso-Bennett Tennis Academy.
Personal Life
He married Canadian tennis player Carling Bassett in 1987 and they have five children together: Holden John, Ridley Jack, Carling Junio, Lennon Shy, and Theodora.
