Rufus Wainwright is a multiple award-winning American-born Canadian singer, songwriter and composer who rose to fame with his critically acclaimed first studio album titled Rufus Wainwright. Personal Life
He and his partner Jörn Weisbrodt tied the knot in 2012. A year before their marriage, the couple had their first child, a daughter named Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen. Viva was mothered by Lorca Cohen, who is the daughter of the iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.
Trivia
In the early 2000s, he began struggling with an addiction to crystal meth. His addiction got so severe that at one point it caused him temporarily blindness.
