About Stephon Marbury
Stephon Marbury began his basketball career at Georgia Tech University, where he played for the Yellow Jackets. The Milwaukee Bucks, which picked him in the 1996 NBA draft, traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves, for which he played in the NBA from 1996 to 1999.
Between 1999 and 2009, he had tenures with the NBA’s Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks.
He made his debut in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) in 2010 with the Foshan Dralions. He also played for the Beijing Ducks and Beijing Fly Dragons.
Family Life
He grew up in Brooklyn’s Coney Island neighborhood. His high school sweetheart, Latasha, has been his wife since 2002. They have four children together.
Achievements
He was a two-time NBA All-Star. In the CBA, he was a three-time champion, a Foreign MVP (in 2013) and Finals MVP (in 2015).
Trivia
He became the head coach of the CBA’s Beijing Royal Fighters in 2019.
