About Steve Blake
Steve Blake’s victory as a member of the University of Maryland’s Terrapins men’s basketball team in the 2002 NCAA Championship earned him a place in the 2003 NBA draft. He made his league debut with the Washington Wizards, for which he played until 2005. He also had spells in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers and Detroit Pistons.
In 2018, he returned to the Portland Trail Blazers as an assistant coach. He also served in the same capacity for the Phoenix Suns from 2019 to 2020.
Personal Life
He grew up in Miami, Florida where he attended Miami Killian High School and Miami High School.
Achievements
He was an NCAA champion in 2002. He represented the United States in the 1998 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, where he won a gold medal.
Trivia
He played in Sydney, Australia for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League in 2016.
