Stonewall Jackson was a war hero and a Confederate commander during the American Civil War. He is considered by many historians to be one of the greatest tactical commanders in the entire history of the United States. He died eight days after being accidentally shot by his own men.
Personal Life
He was born to Julia Beckwith and Jonathan Jackson. He was married twice. His first wife was Elinor Jackson who died during child birth. His second wife was Mary Anna Jackson. He and Mary had two children and remained married until his death in 1863.
