About Terry Labonte
Terry Labonte is a retired stock driver who was selected into the NASCAR Hall Of Fame in 2016. During his career, which lasted close to four decades, Labonte participated in a number of NASCAR events including the Xfinity Series, the Cup Series, and the Camping World Truck Series.
He shot to stardom in 1984 when he won the Winston Cup Series. He also won the International Race of Champions, and the Southern 500 competitions twice. He raced for teams like Precision Products Racing, and Hagan Racing.
Family
His father introduced him to the sport. His younger brother Bobby Labonte is also known to be a driver. He has been married to a lady named Kimberly Vameter. His son Justin Labonte is also a celebrated driver.
Honors
In 1989, he was inducted into the National Quarter Midget Hall of Fame. A year before that, his name was included in the list of “NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers”. Labonte became a member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2017.
