Personal Life
Robert John East was his official name, and grew up having an interest in car racing. He started racing as a young boy and by the time he was sixteen, he had started winning awards. His father was popular on the race tracks due to his work as a car builder of sprints and midgets.
Career
When he started racing, he began participating in competitions so in 2001, he took part in the USAC National Midget event and emerged winner. He again took part in the National Midget series in 2004 where he used the Steve Lewis vehicle and again, he emerged winner. At the age of nineteen, he was the series’ youngest champion in the nation. After sometime, he decided to start racing stock cars. He was off to a rocky start as he failed several competitions then later, he joined the NASCAR Busch Series in 2005. He finished the race in the seventeenth position.
Death
In 2022, he went to a California gas station and whiles he was filling the gas in his car, he was confronted by Trent Milsap, a fugitive, who had violated his parole. During the confrontation, he stabbed Bobby in the chest and even though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
