About Carl Palmer
English drummer and musician Carl Frederick Kendall Palmer is known to be one of the founding members of a rock band called Emerson Lake & Palmer from 1970 to 2010.
Early Life
Palmer lived most of his youthful days in London and started drumming at a young age. His first band was The King of Bees, which later became Craig, and they produced their first record, "I must be mad" in 1966.
Career
The drummer later joined The Chants and produced the album "Love Light" in 1966. Palmer also joined Atomic Rooster, who, with their help, created "Devil's Answer" in 1998 and "Live and Raw" in 2000. The drummer also joined other bands such as PM and 3 from 1980 to 2015. He had a few spells with the Emerson Lake & Palmer band from 2001 to 2018.
Personal Life
Palmer married Maureen in the 1980s, they divorced, and he married Katie Palmer in 2004.
Achievements
The drummer was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1989.
He won the “Prog God Award” in 2017 at the Progressive Music Awards.
