About Edward Weston
The 20th-century photographer, Edward Weston, was of American nationality. His works have impacted several photographers, making him one of the leading, prominent and innovative photographers in the history of America.
He practiced his profession for over forty years. Weston usually took pictures of natural phenomena, nudes, and portraits. As a result of his incredible works, he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship grant in 1937, thus, making him the first-ever photographer to receive the said grant.

His works include “Prologue to a Sad Spring” in 1920, “Sunny Corner in the Attic” in 1921, “José Clemente Orozco” in 1930, and “Tres Ollas” in 1926.
As a writer, he wrote several articles and journals. Amongst his popular published books is “Daybooks”.

He was educated at Illinois College of Photography.
Family
He was born to Alice Jeanette Brett and Edward Burbank Weston. He had a sibling called Mary Weston Seaman. In 1909, he tied the knot with Flora May Chandler but divorced her in 1937. Two years later, he married Charis Wilson, his second wife but divorced her in 1946. He birthed five children including Brett Weston, Edward Chandler Weston, and Cole Weston.
Death
He died of Parkinson's disease in 1958.
