About Jascha Heifetz
Jascha Heifetz was a well-known Russian-born American violinist who was best remembered for his musical brilliance and technical mastery. At the age of two, he started playing the violin, mentored by his father, and at the age of five, he enrolled in the local music school to enhance his craft.
He made his debut in 1971 at New York's Carnegie Hall and was greeted with thunderous applause. His name continues to inspire wonder and excitement among other musicians.
In a 65-year career as a performer, he set an unrivaled level for violin playing that violinists all across the globe continue to strive for. He was largely considered as one of the all-time great performers. His name is linked to the development of the instrument's technique and style in the first part of the twentieth century, alongside Fritz Kreisler.
Family
He married Frances Spielberger Spiegelberg from 1947 to 1962 and Florence Vidor between 1928 and 1946.
He had two children named Robert Heifetz and Josepha Heifetz
Elza Heifetz Behrman and Pauline Heifetz were his siblings.
He was a child of Anna Heifetz and Reuven Heifetz.
