About Julian Tuwim
Julian Tuwim, a Polish poet who also wrote lyrics under the pen name "Oldlen," is renowned today for his contributions to some of the most well-known pieces of literature. Along with his colleagues Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz and Antoni Sonimski, he co-founded the 20th-century Polish experimental poetry collective known as Skamander, which brought him international acclaim.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Tuwim published several poetry collections and penned numerous humorous cabaret texts and song lyrics, including "Sokrates Taczcy" and "Murzynek Bambo."
Tuwim was a well-known and significant character in Polish writing, and many appreciated his enormous impact on literature.
Tuwim's career started in 1915. He became well-known after publishing the collection "Sowa we krwi." The book greatly enhanced his status as a poet, which received a fantastic reception. The series of immensely popular pieces that followed includes "Sokrates Taczcy," "Biblia Cygaska," "Lokomotywa," and "Pegaz dba, czyli panoptikum poetyckie."
Family
He was married to Stefania Tuwimowa.
He had two children namely Edward Tuwim-Woźniak and Ewa Tuwim-Woźniak.
The poet was born to Izydor and Adela.
Alma Mater
The Polish star attended Warsaw University, where he received education in philosophy and law.
