Megan Meier committed suicide by hanging herself at just 13 years old. A few hours before the incident, she had been bullied on the internet by someone whom she had been communicating with for a while and thought was a boy. Unknown to her, it was Lori Drew, the mother of her former friend, Sarah Drew.
Personal Life
She was the daughter of Christina and Ronald Meier. She had been on antidepressants since she was in the third grade. She also had attention deficit disorder.
Suicide
Meier thought she had been chatting with 16-year-old “Josh Evans” on MySpace and developed feelings for “him”. On 16 October 2006, “Josh” called her a bad person who was hated by everyone else in their hometown and wished her a terrible life. As a result, Meier went upstairs and hang herself with a belt.
