About Mike Bibby
Michael Bibby is a retired professional basketball player. He took up a coaching career in the sport a year after his retirement in 2012. After a first-round pick in the draft of 1998 by the Vancouver Grizzlies, he debuted in the NBA.
The best of his NBA years were spent playing for the Sacramento King from 2001 to 2008. From there, he joined the Atlanta Hawks for three years before finishing his run in the league through short stints with the Washington Wizards, Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
Family Life
He was born to Virginia and Henry Bibby, a former NBA player. His uncle is retired MLB player, Jim Bibby. He has been married to Darcy Bibby, with whom he has four children with.
Achievements
He was named as a member of the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team in 1999. He won the 1997 NCAA championship with the Arizona Wildcats.
Trivia
He has coached the basketball teams of Shadow Mountain High School and Hillcrest Preparatory High School.
