Sarah Wayne Callies is an American actress better known for her roles on series like Prison Break and Walking Dead.

Daughter of two university professors, she pursued a career in acting since she was young, participating in independent plays and then entering the Dartmouth College, where she graduated with honors. After that, she progressed with her studies at the Denver's National Theater Conservatory from where she obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree.

In the same year, she married her old classmate from the Dartmouth College, Josh Winterhalt, and in 2007, she had a daughter with him, Keala Winterhalt.
