About Eunice Norton
American pianist Eunice Norton began her professional career in 1923 in England, where she was sent to study under English pianist Tobias Matthay. She first performed at the Queen’s Hall Symphony Orchestra and went on to give solo performances in other parts of England. She also toured major European cities as a soloist and also performed with notable symphony orchestras in the United States. After she finally settled in the United States, she established the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society and the Peacham Music Festival, Vermont. She also taught piano master classes.

She was married to Bernard Lewis, a chemist from 1934 until his death in 1993. They had a son named Norton Lewis.
Achievements
She was a recipient of the London Bach Prize and the Chappell Gold Medal.
Death
She died on December 9, 2005 at 97 years old in Vienna, Austria where she had moved three years earlier.
