Karl Rove first entered America politics in 1968 and he ended up becoming one of the Republican Party’s most eminent political consultants and lobbyists.
Several years prior to serving in the George W. Bush administration, he had been instrumental in the senate election victories of Republican politicians such as Phil Gramm, John Ashcroft and John Cornyn.
During his time in the White House (January 2001-August 2007), he served in the capacities of Senior Advisor to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy (2005-2007).
Family Life
He has a son from his second marriage (1986-2009) to Darby Tara Hickson. He was first married to Valerie Wainwright from 1976 to 1980. He married Karen Johnson, a lobbyist, in 2012.
Achievements
He became an inductee of the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame in 2009.
