Lynn was an American musician and television star who was mostly popular for her track “Rose Garden” which was a huge hit when it was released.
Personal Life
When she was young, she had a love for horses and horseback riding. When her parents decided to move out of their home, she encouraged them to get a ranch and they did so. They started raising horses and this brought her much delight
Lynn realized her love for performance, she started participating in challenges and winning. She even participated in a horse-racing challenge and came in second place.
Career
She had a good voice and this made her venture into the music world. She started her music career with the track “Ride, Ride, Ride” then she released “If I Kiss You (Will You Go Away)” which topped the billboard charts.
Achievement
In 1966, she was honored with the title of “California Horse Show Queen”. About a year later, she received a Grammy for her track “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden” and received the “Top Female Vocalist Award” during the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Challenges
Her weakness with regards to alcohol got her arrested in 2004 for driving under its influence.
Death
She suffered from Pneumonia during a vacation and underwent treatment but she suffered a heart attack not long after and passed away in 2015.
