About Richard Libertini
The American-born former actor and stage performer, Richard Joseph Libertini became famous for his ability to speak numerous languages and his roles in popular movies such as “Catch-22” in 1970, “All of Me” in 1984, and “Fletch Lives” in 1989.
Early Life
The actor lived most of his childhood life in Massachusetts and graduated from Emerson College. He discovered his talent in acting and moved to Los Angeles to begin his acting career during the 1960s.
Career in Acting
Libertini made his debut in 1966 when he featured in a comedy show called "The Mad Show". He later acted in "The Night They Raided Minsky's", an American Musical comedy show in 1968; “The Out-of-Towners” in 1970; and “The In-Laws” in 1979. Libertini was also in the casts of "Lethal Weapon 4” in 1998 and "Everybody Wants to Be Italian" in 2007. In the former, which was directed by Richard Doner, the actor had a minor role, appearing alongside Mel Gibson, Joe Pesci, Jet Li, and Danny Glover.
Personal Life
The actor was married to Melinda Dillon from 1963 to 1978. He died in 2016 and was survived by a son.
