About Skip Bayless
Before starting his television career, American sportscaster Skip Bayless worked as a print journalist. During the early stages of his career, he worked with publications such as the Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, and The Dallas Morning News.
He had the opportunity to work in the television industry in the late 1980s when he was named as one of the panelists on the show “The Sports Reporters” which was aired on ESPN. He went on to work with other well-known media organizations such as Fox Sports Net, and the Golf Channel before rejoining ESPN as a co-host of the show “Cold Pizza”. The program would later be renamed “First Take”.
In 2016, Bayless joined Fox Sports and became a host on the show “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” alongside former NFL player Shannon Sharpe.
Family
At birth, he was named John Edward Bayless II. He got his nickname “Skip” from his father John Sr. American chef Rick Bayless is his brother. The renowned sportscaster has been married to Ernestine Sclafani. They tied the knot in 2016.

He studied at Vanderbilt University.
